Hirvenhiihto has become a tradition and it's held during early spring. This year the people of Torna and Kaarnemaa work together for the event. The date for our event is 21-24.4.2011 starting on Thursday at 18.00 and closing on
Sunday at 12.00. That means four days of fun for everyone including fighters and those intrested in crafts. We will make our best that the feast tables are loaded with game and other delicacies.
The site is a youth camping site in Kaarnemaa. It has plenty of beds available and we'll arrange more in tents if needed. There are also showers and a sauna. The name of the site is Sanginjoen leirikeskus and the address is
Kontiokoskentie 14, 90650 Oulu. Since there are no public transprotations available to near the site we'll have a wagon ready to pick up people from the airport or the trainstation if needed (reserve a small fee for the drivers).

Those who are willing to sleep over in a tent (warmable) we offer a 5 € discount

Payments can be made to a bank account: Peräpohjolan Keskiaikaseura FI3380001671366236. Those who arrive from abroad can pay at the door.

Reservations to the event steward and payments have to be made by 25.3.2011. Otherwise there will be added a 10 € late fee. Also there will be no refunds for cancellation made after the 25th.

Please include in your
reservation your mundane name, SCA name, email and/or phone number, food restrictions, if you're willing to hold a class or craft shop. In case of children do tell us the age of the child as well.

Driving instructions
From the center of Oulu:
Drive towards the hospital following the signs (red cross). This will take you to Kajaanintie (name of the road). Drive along the road past the hospital until you see a sign to the left "Myllyoja". Turn there and drive forward until there will be Shell gas station. From that crossroad turn right (continues from the star marked spot)

From the highway:
Get off from the highway on a ramp that says "Kuusamo". Follow the signs for Kuusamo until you can see a sign pointing to right saying "Myllyoja". Turn right and drive straight (continues from the star marked spot)

* Drive this road about 7 kilometers. There's a sign saying "Sanginjoki 24" pointing to left. Turn there and drive about 8 kilometers. There will be a small black sign with white text saying "Sanginjoen leirikeskus". Turn there and you're at the site.
